根據統計，退化性膝關節炎，是殘疾的的最大元兇，而且年紀越大，發生率就越高，十一月二十四號台南文化中心邀請骨科醫師戴大為，進行養生講座，讓民眾了解膝關節炎如何發生。
根據台南醫院新化分院骨科門診統計，來看診的民眾有超過一半都是因為膝關節的疼痛，可以反映出膝關節炎的嚴重性，講座會場也吸引許多民眾前來聽講，醫師也送上一些保養的秘訣。
醫生提醒，膝關節的保養應該提早進行，隨然很難完全避免，但是可以藉由正確的生活型態與保養觀念，避免病情持續惡化。
