減重成功的機率有多少?

肥胖絕對是退化性關節炎最大的危險因子之一!

根據本月最新出爐的英國研究(是認真的那一種,不是芭樂研究),只有少部分的肥胖者可以真正減肥成功。真是令人洩氣的統計啊!

這個大型研究追蹤了76704位胖男及99791為胖妞的體重變化。在最多長達九年的追蹤中,只有 1283位胖男及 2245位胖妞的體重可以減至正常範圍。

換算下來,肥胖男女(BMI 30 – 35)每年體重減至正常的比率只有 1/210及 1/124。若是病態性肥胖(BMI 40-45)的男女更分別只有1/1290及1/677的機會減重成功。

控制飲食、適度運動是遠離肥胖與退化性關節炎的不二法門。

重要的不是你有多胖,而是你是不是想繼續胖下去。
